(They're cute. ^^)
Amelia stayed nuzzled up against him, paw uncurling a little. She quickly drew it back up though when a twinge went through it. It probably wouldn't be wise to shift with the injury. The bone structure on her human arm was different from her feline leg and she didn't want to risk it until the injury healed a little bit more.

( gfjdheds I know, but I just don't know what Joseph is thinking. >< )
Joseph looked to her paw, "Careful." He encouraged her not to move as much, holding his hands out. He relaxed them on her should after a moment. "Do you like being a lion more of the time?"

( It's so hard to make her communicate in her lion form. XD ) Amelia glanced down for a moment, before moving her shoulders lightly in a shrug like movement. She glanced down at her paw, before nudging his wrist to try and explain she shouldn't shift now anyway.

Joseph nodded a bit, guessing she didn't talk a lot in this form, or didn't feel like changing. He sighed and leaned back on the grass, "I wonder where the bear came from..." He trailed off, rising to his feet and walking over to the deer he had shot earlier. He slipped the arrow from it's heart.

Amelia laid down, watching what he was doing. Her tail flicked across the ground.

He put two fingers in his mouth and whistled, then grabbed the deer's hind legs. A moment later, a paint mare came running up, stopping in front of Little Creek. He started tying the body to the horse's rump.

Amelia's ears flattened slightly at the whistle. She rolled onto her side, the relaxed pose both more comfortable and illustrating to the horse she wasn't a threat.

Joseph finished and walked back to Amelia, "I don't suppose you're wanting to head back to town? You probably shouldn't walk on that. I could get Willow to give you a lift, but probably not in lion form." He knelt beside her, "But I'm guessing there are rules to shifting? My mother could rarely shift, and when she did she had to rest for long periods of time."

Amelia looked down at the ground for a moment. She wasn't too fond of going into towns, but in her injured state it might be safer than the forest. She couldn't speak any kind of human language in her lion form, the throats not the same. Amelia glanced at her paw, deciding after a moment of deliberation it was probably just a sprain and it would be safe to shift.
Changing to her humanoid form, she explained, "The anatomy and bone structure is different, so shifting with an injury can potentially do more damage.... Shifting itself is easy for my particular breed though." Her wrist was swollen a little and she frowned.

Joseph stepped back and watched her change, then looked down for a moment. "Oh, I see." He was a bit guilty to have pressure her into changing, but glad to be able to get to the village. He guessed if there was a bear, no telling what other dangers were waiting. He knew the meat wouldn't last long without being cleaned as well. He offered to help Amelia onto Willow, "Here, use my hand to get up, it should take less effort and put less strain on your injured hand."

Amelia accepted the hand with her good one, standing up. She was sore from the tumble she'd taken, a slight look of discomfort crossing her features. She gave him a slight smile though.

Joseph helped up onto Willow, then lead the horse on toward the village. "I'm not sure they have a medic in the village, but they do have medicine." He believed.

Amelia nodded. "It'll probably get better if I just avoid using it for a little while...." Even if there was a medic, she was worried about strange people knowing her location.

"Where do you live?" He asked, wondering if he needed to take her farther than the village.

"I'm a wanderer, I don't stay in any place long," she etold him.
