Alone. That's all she was at that moment, and she wanted to no longer be alone. It was too much. She didn't want to be a weapon, people already hated her mother. Would they hate her as well? Twilight wasn't sure how long she could keep living like this, in fear. Tears burned in her eyes, the small girl wiped her tears away. A weapon. That's all she was wasn't she? A pawn.
she could already see the faint sparks of lightning dart between her fingertips. 'Just calm down,' she thought. 'Calm down.'

Briar Rose was actually feeling a little better after talking with Hans. Despite losing a couple of people that she thought were loyal to her, she knew she could always depend on him. And that made her feel better. Hans would always take care of things. Although, she knew it wasn't good to have only one person she could depend on. She needed more, more people that could carry out her tasks. And she hoped that Twilight would be one of those people. Speaking of which, she soon found the girl, looking pretty sad. Well, Elsa had acted the same when she had come here. And Briar Rose had fashioned her into a good weapon, for a time. "Oh Twilight, no need to look like the world's ending," she said, her voice taking on a caring tone. "Well, maybe it is. But I'm bringing in a whole new world after it's gone. And you get to be a part of it. Isn't that exciting?" She beamed happily.

The girl looked up at the very one that she was really starting to despise. It wasn't fair. Even after all her life being hated as the daughter of the Wicked Witch of the west, not only had she been sold into slavery but also been bought by a horrible queen that everyone hated. "I'm not sure you and I share the same definition of exciting." she said sarcastically, looking around the world she was in now. "I don't understand why you need me, you clearly already have power."

"True. But the problem is, I can only extend it so far on my own," Briar Rose replied, ignoring Twilight's sarcastic tone. For the moment. "That's why I need people like Hans and Ariel. They're like having an extra pair of hands, and I can get more work done. And with you on board, I can get even more work done. My kingdom is expanding, after all."

Twilight crossed her arms over her chest and stared at the queen for awhile. "I don't see why I have to be involved. I am sure this Hans is better than I am. I still can't even control my powers, and even if I did I wouldn't want to end up hurting someone. Innocent people don't deserve that."

"See, Twilight, that's why I need to coach you," Briar Rose replied. "You're afraid to use your powers, but you can do so much with them if you just open up to them. Hans is good and all, but he doesn't have magic. But you, you have so much potential. You just need to unlock it." She tossed her hair over her shoulder. "Besides, you wouldn't be using them on innocent people. You would be using them on people who defy me, cause me trouble. That's a worthy cause, isn't it?"

Twilight wasn't sure that sounded like a promising compromise. Those people who defied aurora seemed innocent. She twisted a lock of her hair in her fingers biting her lip as she did. "...I guess it could be. But, i am still confused on how you could help me. I thought witches or wizards could only help others with magic."

"Just because some of us don't have magic powers doesn't mean we don't know how it works," Briar Rose replied. "I've been surrounded by magic all my life. I was cursed when I was born, I had three fairies raise me. Learning new spells, you'll have to do that on your own. But getting you to not be afraid of your powers anymore, to make them a part of you, that I can help you with."

Twilight raised an eyebrow. True, this woman had freed her from slavery but at what cost? Her own loyalty. It wasn't fair to say the least but then again life was seldom fair anymore. And even if she disagreed to it, where would she go? She didn't know of anyone that would help her, or who to trust anymore. "I suppose I can give it a shot."

Briar Rose smiled. "That's my girl," she said, patting Twilight on the head. "Stick with me and you'll be rewarded soon enough. I'm always generous with my allies. Riches, a room of your own, plenty to eat, pretty things to wear, all of it can be yours, if you serve me well."

Twilight could only smile and nod. She wasn't sure if there was anything she could say to that. After all, it was because of Queen Rose that she had a roof over her head. Others would not be so kind.

Twilight seemed to agree with Briar Rose on that note, which was good. She didn't mind forcing people to work with her, but if they were willing to do it, then that made her job a lot easier. "So, Twilight dear, I wanted to ask you something. I was wondering if you could give me a demonstration of what you can do so far. I mean, I've seen a little bit of your skills, but I really want to get a good look at them, to figure out which path to take you on."

Twilight nodded her head before closing her eyes and held her hands apart and concentrated. Sparks started to fly into the center of the hands. Outside thunder started to boom before rain started to fall and then the young witch released the lightning, creating a smaller lightning cloud inside the dungeon

((Just a reminder, it's your turn to post in our Pitch and Elsa thread.))
Briar Rose smiled. Twilight had a lot of raw power inside her. She could practically feel her energy when the thunder boomed and the lightning flashed. The little witch would make an excellent tool against her opponents once Briar Rose molded her a little bit. "Now that's what I call being a witch," she said, continuing to smile. "Once you spend some time with me, you'll be doing more than summoning storms. People will tremble in your wake and be awestruck when you reach your full potential."

(of course i knew i forgot something)
"But they will still fear me." Twilight said, frowning. Just as they did her mother. No one really loved her mother, at least not that should recall, if it had been as easy as that, her mother wouldn't have died or would have people hated her. She would have become a great witch in Oz. "I don't want people to fear me. I just want them to see me for who I really am."
