Saphira was sitting inside her carriage, she had been stuck there basically from the moment she left her kingdom. She was traveling light, only two servants and two guards with her, as the Shah ordered, and insisted; if it was for her she would have brought only a servant to drive and nobody else. She moved her look to her suitcase, she didn't know the weather of the area were she was going, a sort of leap into the void, so she brought almost every type of dress. She couldn't help but smile at the thought that probably what she brought would be seen as strange and even weird by the people of that country. Even her carriage was easily to recognize as a foreign 'attraction' to this new county. Her thoughts were interrupted by a jolt. "What happened?!" she asked leaning out of the window and watching the soldier on the right side. "A wheel. My princess." he said as he bowed his head to her "It's broken. We'll stop in this village to repair it. We'll resume the march as soon as the damage is fix." he said and then sent the two servants to look for a smith. "Good!" Saphira smiled "I'll took a look around." she said as she got off the carriage and pulled on her head a veil to hide her jewelry and crown, as he father said. She started to walk around always followed by a guard, while the otehr looked after the carriage.

Joseph was staying at the local inn, still in the business of trading pelts and planting trees in the area. He patted his paint horse and started walking, the creature following after him. He knew it was time to check on the garden, but something caught his eye before he could leave. He came into the clearing of the streets and noticed a carriage, and someone in a veil over their head not far away. The sound of the blacksmith frightened Willow, his paint mare, and caused her to jump. Joseph turned and watched as the horse trotted off to safety, over to the woman whom he noticed before. He ran after the creature, finally catching up and putting a rope around the horse's neck. "Oh, I'm so sorry, she must have spooked." He apologized to the woman, and the guard who was with her.

Saphira was walking down the street, wondering what those building were used for or why they were built in that way, when she heard hoofbeats coming in her way. She turned her look to see a mare running towards her followed by a man who was trying to catch it. She screamed and froze watching the animal running right towards her. Luckily the guard who was with her managed to take her away as soon as the other man caught the mare. As the man spoke the guard placed his hand on his sword, but Saphira, even if she was still confused by what happened, stopped him. "I accept your apology." she said fixing her veil and dress "Nothing happened to me or my guard and luckily to nobody else." she said watching at the strange animal, she didn't knew that there were mare like this in the west. "However it's a beautiful animal..."

Joseph looked at the man's sword, but he didn't seem frightened. He maintained a calm look and sighed a bit when she stopped the guard. It would have been unfortunate for the village to see what powers hid in his body. He smiled a bit when she complimented Willow. He looked to the horse and patted her shoulder, "Yes, Willow has taken me many of places. I'm Joseph, by the way." He introduced, ignoring the guard.

Saphira did notice that the man wasn't scared by her guard or by the sword, she wondered what could give him so much security. He didn't look danger or evil. But looks can be deceiving, she surely knew it. "Princess Saphira." she said waiting him to bow as everyone usually did in her country, but she wondered if in the West they had that habit in front of royals.

Joseph knew people didn't always to it, but he bowed just a bit in a greeting, as he did sometimes. He smiled a bit, "Nice to meet you." He told her with assurance. He was intrigued by her presence, being a wanderer and a lover of new sites and information. He held up his index finger, "Oh, wait-" He looked around, then a flower out of his saddle bag. The flower was planted in a gourd and had plenty of dirt. It looked healthy and strong. "Here, for you." He offered it to her.

Saphira smiled of relief when Joseph bowed at her, they did it there too. She was starting to understand that new world and its inhabitants. "What?" She raised an eyebrow and watched him looking for something. Then he took the flower and gave it to her; she blinked confused watching the flower. What was that supposed to mean? She was used to receive gifts from foreign visitors or ambassadors or princes of neighbor countries, but they usually gave her jewels, precious stones or rare objects. It was the first time that someone gave her a so simple gift. "Thank you." Saphira smiled sightly but hesitated before taking the flower. And now?

Joseph waited for a moment, then smiled a bit, "I'm a gardener, and I could have sworn the flower said it wanted to be with you." He teased lightly. "I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say you're not from around here." He guessed, not really sure if he should be. He wondered if giving gifts was insulting to her in some way, by the hesitant way she took it. He was used to meeting new cultures, as he traveled a lot. (( Okay, goodnight. ^^ ))

Saphira looked at him, the flower wanted to me with her? "Yes." She nodded and smiled slightly amused by his words "I come from a distant land in the East." she said pointing towards where it was suppose to be her kingdom. She paused a bit looking in that direction and then continued "Things in the West are different, buildings, animals even people. And apparently here flowers can even talk." she smiled playful.

Joseph looked in the direction of her finger, "In the east?" He repeated, then smiled a bit. "I've never been that far, actually." He admitted. He looked around them at the town, "Yes, things are different here from where I came as well. As far as flowers? They only talk to a select few." He winked. "So what brings you here? I can't imagine we're as interesting enough for a visit from that far." He guessed.

Saphira laughed "You underestimate this land." she said smiling "I've always wanted to see what was lying in the West. Your beautiful landscapes, your culture, your art..." she paused sighing, that would have been awesome if only she was there only to visit the western kingdoms. "Actually I'm here in an official capacity" she said hiding her nervousness "My father, the Shah, gave me an important task for our kingdom."

Joseph looked out in the distance, not really sure what was different between his land and hers. "I'm a gardener, so I can't completely disown the land. We do have many beautiful plants and flowers." He confessed. He stepped back a bit when she explained why she was here. "You're father? You're kingdom? Does that mean- You're royalty?" He asked, not sure how to take such information.

Saphira looked at him, a bit surprised and a bit amused by his reaction. She was sure that he actually understood that by himself, seeing the carriage, the guards and some how her robes. "Yes" Saphira smiled to calm him "Daughter of the Queen and the Shah of Persia." she said bowing her head.

Joseph leaned back on Willow, smiling a bit wider now. "Wow, and I don't believe in coincidence, so I guess it's fate I meet royalty. That's a lot to take in." He crossed his arms. "So, a princess? Away from her country runs into a gardener by chance? Sounds like a- fairy tale?" He chuckled lightly, turning elegantly as his hair flipped. He walked off a bit, then put his hands on his hips and turned. "How long do you suppose you're staying?"
