Story: Ralph and Quasimodo are both Giants, born and raised in the skyloft kingdom above the world. Their grandfather was the infamous Great Giant, the "Fee Fi Fo Fum" monster who had a soft spot for harp music that was defeated by Jack. After the beanstalk had been cut, the story served as a cautionary tale about the "surface" -- as the world below was called -- and the dangers of the people. And although the beanstalk had been cut down, vines long enough from the fabled plant took root and allowed safe passage into the cloud barrier into the human world.
Ralph and Quasimodo discovered the vine that led down to the earth, and, bored with the expectations of Giants -- be savage, greedy and cruel, which neither brother was -- descended down and found the human world to be nothing but a place of anguish and torment -- ESPECIALLY for beings like them who had been given a bad rep. Both have equally been harassed and shunned by others, which led them to live as outcasts wandering back and forth from the Western Kingdom to the Eastern Kingdom, trying to wipe the slate clean on peoples' expectations on Giants
Character: Ralph
Relationships: Quasimodo: Younger brother
Briar Rose: Enemy (hates her for the torment she is inflicting)
Personality: Large fists, a short fuse and a sheer amount of force are usually the first signs of a troublesome Giant. But beneath that angry hulking exterior is a heart of gold; Ralph will put himself before anyone, including his own brother, to ensure that no one will get hurt. He's more outgoing than his younger brother and willing to give things a try, including opening up to people.
Character
: Quasimodo
Relationships: Ralph: Older brother
Briar Rose: Enemy (hates her for the torment she is inflicting)
Personality: Like his older brother, Quasimodo is the epitome of the term "gentle giant", but maybe to a bigger degree. He's misshapen, but is timid and mild-mannered. He is also much more limber than Ralph, which means he often can perform feats that his brother can't. But once you get him out of his shell, he will be a true friend, fighting for whatever he feels is right.
