"A walk? Then what's the bag for?" He asked, smiling a bit.

She grins up at him and waves her hand vaguely, "I was hoping to stay the night someplace away from home. My husband and I got into a vicious fight and so I took a few of my precious items and left." The lies came easily to her now. She'd had a lot of practice.

Joseph nodded slowly, "So, that's why you're not wearing a ring. Still, I find it strange that someone as strong as you would settle down." He admitted, splashing some water on his face. "Your husband must be an idiot to have fought with you."

She smiled up at him, "Well, thank you. I certainly can't argue with you about that. He was handsome and charming enough when we first met, I suppose, but he just deteriorated when he started in on the alcohol."

"I see." Joseph gathered she didn't want to talk too much about it, and was satisfied with the information. He picked up the water containers, "Well, if you don't need anything else, I better be on my way."

She looks up as she hears footsteps approaching and quickly transforms herself into someone who could have easily passed as Little Creek's sister, "He's sent the guards after me telling them I stole from him. Filthy liar, if they catch me and bring me back to him... I don't know what will happen."

Joseph honestly didn't want to get caught up in this, and he despised being used, but what could he do. He sighed and waited, seeing some men come into the clearing. They pointed weapons at him, to which he raised his arms at.

Eris raised her arms as well and acted scared as the men demanded to know whether or not they'd seen a blue woman pass by. Eris shook her head slowly before turning to look at Little Creek.

Little Creek looked to Eris, then he pondered the thought. "Now that you mentioned it, we did hear a noise coming from over there. Sounded like they were running." He pointed in the direction of the next town.

Eris nodded in agreement, almost feeling guilty for using such a good man... almost. The guards nodded and headed off in the other direction as Eris looked up at Little Creek, "I want to thank you, sincerely." She meant every word too. She felt he was a genuinely good person and there weren't many left in the world.

Joseph watched them run off, then frowned a bit. He looked over to Eris and smiled at the thanks. He lost the smile soon after and started back in the direction of his horse. He stopped for a moment, "Do you have a place to stay tonight?"

She shook her head, she genuinely hadn't thought that far ahead. "No, not yet."

"Well, I can probably let you borrow my room for a night, I don't mind sleeping in the stables. I'm used to it." He offered, walking back to his horse. He packed one of the flasks of water, then used the other to water the seeds he had planted.

She looked up in shock. This man was a complete stranger to her, but he was offering her his bed and taking the stables, "I couldn't do that. Thank you so much, but you've already helped me tremendously. I wouldn't feel right taking your bed fro you." He really was much too kind for his own good.

Joseph shook his head, "It's really no trouble at all, but if you feel better not taking my offer, at least let me help you find somewhere else?" He offered.
